15th French-Polish Seminar on Reactivity of Solids
June 30 - July 2, 2008. Dijon, France

Editors:
Florence Baras, Gilles Bertrand, Igor Bezverkhyy, Sébastien Chevalier, Sandrine Garrault, Olivier Politano, Kazimierz Przybylski.

These seminars were initiated in 1976. They are organized every two or three years alternatively by the AGH University of Sciences and Technology (Cracow, Poland) and the University of Burgundy (Dijon, France).

The aim of the seminar is to develop the scientific relationships between the two universities and to discuss the recent results in the field of the reactivity of materials. The main objective of the seminar is to let exchanges between young and senior researchers. Topics of the seminar cover various aspects concerning:

  • corrosion of metals and alloys;
  • solid state chemistry and material science;
  • reactivity of cementitious materials

In 2008, the seminar was held in Institut Carnot de Bourgogne (ICB) in Dijon. This new inerdisciplinary laboratory, created in 2007, descends from “Laboratoire des Recherches sur la Réactivité des Solides” in which the French-Polish collaboration in the field of the reactivity of materials was initiated.

60 researchers participated and 40 oral talks were given during the seminar. The organising committee is thankful to the University of Burgundy and to the Regional Council of Burgundy for their support.
